Privacy policy
What we collect when you contact us about a repair, why we need it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to remove it.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
1. Who we are
Appliance Repair Valdosta ("we", "us", "our") is an appliance repair service operating in Valdosta, Georgia and the surrounding area. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, by phone and by email.
If you have a question about anything here, email info@appliancerepairvaldosta.com or call 229-363-0182.
2. What we collect
We only ask for what a repair job actually requires:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The service address where the appliance is located.
- Details of the appliance: brand, model number, age and the fault.
- Photos or error codes you choose to send us.
- A record of the work carried out, parts fitted and the invoice.
- Access notes you give us, such as a gate code or parking instructions.
If you simply browse the site without contacting us, our web host records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To schedule the visit and let the technician find your address.
- To order the correct parts for your appliance model.
- To issue an invoice and take payment.
- To handle warranty claims and follow-up visits on the same fault.
- To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to contact you about something specific.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent it to anyone. We share it only where it is needed to complete your repair:
- The technician assigned to your job.
- Parts suppliers, where a model number is needed to source a component.
- Our payment processor, to take payment securely.
- Our accountant, for bookkeeping and tax records.
- A manufacturer, where a repair is being carried out under their warranty.
- Law enforcement or a court, where we are legally required to do so.
5. Payment details
Payments are handled by a third-party processor. We do not store full card numbers or security codes on our systems. Our own records show the amount, the date and the method of payment only.
6. Cookies and site analytics
This site uses cookies to keep the pages working correctly and to understand how visitors move around them, for example which repair pages are read most often. Analytics data is looked at in aggregate; we are not trying to identify individual visitors.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some functions may behave differently.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are clearly no longer active. Completed job records and invoices are kept for as long as the warranty period runs and for the period required by tax and accounting rules, after which they are securely disposed of.
8. Keeping it safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we ask you not to send sensitive information such as card numbers by email.
9. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your details, where we are not required to keep them.
- Stop contacting you, apart from messages about a job in progress.
Email info@appliancerepairvaldosta.com with your request. We may ask a question or two to confirm who you are before we act on it.
10. Phone calls and text messages
When you call us we use your number to return the call, confirm the appointment and let you know when the technician is on the way. If you would rather we contacted you only by email, tell us and we will note it on your job.
11. Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal details, contact us and we will remove them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as our services or the law change. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
